James Merritt, co-founder of Merritt Hawkins, is a healthcare professional with over 30 years of health care consulting experience and is a nationally acknowledged health care staffing industry leader. Mr. Merritt served as Regional Vice President of a leading national physician search organization before co-founding Merritt, Hawkins in 1987. Mr. Merritt is widely recognized for his expertise in a broad range of staffing issues, from physician compensation to medical staff planning. Mr. Merritt has consulted with hundreds of hospitals and medical groups regarding physician needs assessment, physician search strategies, compensation, contracts, retention and numerous other related issues.
