Christopher has 30 years’ entrepreneurial, managerial and investment experience across media industries, property, equities, private equity and Venture Capital. Christopher is The Managing Director of family businesses Vasmore which manages the Private Equity, Venture Capital and many IPO investments and Managing Director of Firm Mettle which invests both Australia and Europe and a Director of Omnilab Media Investments (OMI) that holds and manages most other Mapp Group investments Globally. Christopher has been engaged in business start-ups, acquisitions of private and listed company assets, mergers and organic growth strategies to build diversified businesses with interests in technology, media, entertainment, property and corporate investment. Christopher has invested directly and supports as an advisor in over 20 start-ups and many more via his portfolio investments. Omnilab Media Investments (OMI) has a property portfolio across residential and commercial property in Australia. OMI is the 2nd largest shareholders in The Entertainment Quarter (EQ) and Christopher, and the other investors have a new vision to transform EQ into Sydney’s premier community, entertainment and media district within a world class sporting and entertainment precinct. This bold new vision is centred around complementing and elevating the existing on-site arts and film industries. EQ’s rejuvenation would elevate Sydney’s reputation as a world-class city, attract new investment, generate jobs and boost liveability and open space access for the Centennial Park community and for all Sydneysiders. OMI has invested over the last several years in caravan parks with the vision of providing low-cost housing to Australians by offering semi-permanent demountable housing solutions on these sites while still offering tourist space to temporarily visit. For over 20 years Christopher ran Omnilab Media (OM). OM related businesses provided extensive media and technology solutions to local and international clients in the film, television, advertising, publishing, and entertainment industries. In addition, they created, financed and produced their own projects such as international release movies Killer Elite and Tomorrow When the War Began and also financed the North American release of several films, including The Bank Job, W and The Messenger. OM’s Dr.D Studios made Happy Feet 2 in partnership with George Miller. Christopher has been a long-standing supporter of several charities and Honorary Council for The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.
