About Josin Tom
I am Josin Tom, a technically adept and diligent professional passionate about engaging in fluid systems modeling, pursuing my PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Duke University. I am currently seeking full time opportunities in projects that aim to design and develop hydrodynamic systems, program and develop CFD solvers or develop mathematical models for industrial systems. I am proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, FORTRAN and C++ and have experience using ANSYS CFD solvers for about 4 years. I have worked in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams, possess good communication skills and believe in life-long learning. I currently work under Dr. Andrew Bragg on theoretical and computational fluid dynamics and complex particle-turbulent flows and its applications to environmental problems. In my role as CFD Engineer at Ingersoll Rand, I was actively involved in airflow and thermal analysis for transport and commercial HVAC systems and pneumatic systems. I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Calicut, India.
