During his 14 years at SODEXO, he managed comprehensive IT infrastructure and operations, including end-user services and support teams. His experience in this role contributed to his expertise in ERP projects and strategic IT management.

Phil Yau's educational journey began at Ferryhill Primary School in Aberdeen, Scotland, where he studied from 1971 to 1977. He then attended Harlaw Academy from 1977 to 1983, completing six years of study. Following this, he pursued a degree in Computing at The Robert Gordon University, graduating in 1986 after three years of study. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for his career in technology and management.
