BayoTech offers high-pressure hydrogen transport and storage solutions. The company’s offerings include hydrogen production hubs, known as BayoGaaS™ Hydrogen Hubs, which are strategically designed to be close to the point of use to minimize transportation costs and emissions. Additionally, BayoTech provides hydrogen transport trailers capable of carrying up to three times more compressed hydrogen than traditional steel tube trailers, and ground storage modules to store significant volumes of hydrogen efficiently.
Hydrogen Production Technology
BayoTech's hydrogen production technology was initially developed by Sandia National Laboratory. The technology leverages compact, modular, and scalable steam methane reformers that use 20-30% less energy than traditional hydrogen production methods. These systems are capable of using renewable natural gas (RNG) as a feedstock, providing a more sustainable and low-carbon hydrogen production option.
BayoGaaS™ Hydrogen Hubs
BayoTech operates hydrogen production hubs branded as BayoGaaS™ Hydrogen Hubs. The first operational hub is located in Wentzville, Missouri, producing 350 tons of low-cost, low-carbon hydrogen per year. Additional hubs are planned for various locations, including Stockton, California, where a facility at the Port of Stockton will produce two tonnes of hydrogen per day from renewable natural gas. These hubs are designed to support the decarbonization of industries such as trucking, shipping, and steel production.
Hydrogen Transport and Storage
BayoTech offers advanced hydrogen transport and storage solutions. The company's transport trailers are designed to be towed by standard pickup trucks and can carry up to three times more compressed hydrogen than traditional steel tube trailers. For storage, BayoTech provides ground storage modules that can store up to 165,000 scf of hydrogen in a compact 20-foot container, ensuring efficient and secure storage solutions.
Education and Industry Partnerships
BayoTech actively partners with educational institutions and supports industry-specific training and education. The company collaborates with Ranken Technical College to develop training programs tailored for the hydrogen industry. In addition, BayoTech sponsors STEM education programs through the H2 Grand Prix Series, fostering the next generation of talent in the hydrogen sector.
