Holberton School was founded in Silicon Valley to address the gap in the education system for aspiring software engineers. Its new flagship campus in Manhattan, New York City, opened in February 2023. The school provides both Certified programs, which are cohort-based and paced, as well as Extension programs that can be self-paced, part-time, or full-time. The part-time programs were an addition to the full-time Computer Science programs, designed to accommodate different learning needs.
