IFAW’s initiatives span from animal rescue to habitat conservation, reflecting its comprehensive approach to animal welfare and environmental preservation.
IFAW Disaster Response Program
The IFAW Disaster Response team dedicates its efforts to saving animal lives, mitigating impacts, assisting vulnerable communities, and providing resilience-building resources. Relying on support from The Walt Disney Company and generous donors, the Disaster Response and Preparedness grants fund initiatives aimed at creating a safer environment for animals and communities affected by natural disasters.
IFAW Marine Conservation Efforts
IFAW’s Marine Conservation program is committed to protecting marine life and their habitats from threats such as fishing gear entanglements, ship strikes, and ocean noise pollution. Their Marine Mammal Rescue program has effectively responded to over 5,600 marine mammal strandings since 1998. Additionally, their Dolphin Rescue Center on Cape Cod offers a unique rehabilitation facility for dolphins and porpoises.

The IFAW Wildlife Crime program combats wildlife trafficking and cybercrime. By partnering with online tech companies, the program strives to eliminate wildlife cybercrime. The initiative is a crucial part of IFAW's efforts to protect wildlife from illegal trade and exploitation.
